What information we collect
Information you give us when you register, log in, fill in a contact form, request a quote, subscribe to our newsletter or take part in a contest or survey: name, email address, phone number, address and company name.
Information we collect automatically when you visit our website: IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use your information
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
• Create and manage your account – to fulfil our agreement with you.
• Answer enquiries, send quotes and product information – based on our legitimate interest in running our business, or steps taken at your request before an agreement.
• Process orders, ship products, handle invoicing and customer service – to fulfil our agreement with you and comply with legal obligations, such as accounting requirements.
• Send newsletters and marketing emails – based on your consent.
• Run contests, promotions and surveys – based on your consent.
• Improve our website and analyse how it is used – based on your consent via cookies.
• Keep our website secure and prevent fraud – based on our legitimate interest.
You don’t have to give us your personal data, but without it we can’t, for example, create your account or reply to your enquiry.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with:
• Service providers that help us run our website and business (such as website hosting, email and newsletter tools, IT support and shipping). They may only use your data on our instructions and must keep it secure.
• Companies in the Adder group (Adder Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH, Adder America Inc.) where needed to handle your request.
• Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to investigate or prevent illegal activity, fraud or threats to someone’s safety.
We may share anonymous, combined statistics with partners. These cannot be traced back to you.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some of our providers or group companies are located outside the EU/EEA, for example in the USA.
When we transfer data there, we make sure it is protected, where required, we use appropriate safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as an applicable adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your information
We keep your data only as long as we need it:
• Contact form enquiries: 24 months after our last contact
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
• Customer accounts: while the account is active, plus 12 months
• Order and invoice records: as required by applicable Swedish accounting legislation.
Cookies
We use cookies to make our website work, to recognise returning visitors and, if you allow it, to analyse usage and show relevant content and advertising.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via your browser settings.

Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn’t affect what we did before you withdrew)

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
Security
We protect your data with encryption when it is sent over the internet (HTTPS), secure servers, and access limited to employees who need it for their job.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email us and ask to be removed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
